Here's another fresh Democratic face seeking a seat in the Arkansas HouseJonathan Crossley of Jacksonville, who will oppose Republican Rep. Karilyn Brown of Sherwood for House District 41.

Crossley, Arkansas teacher of the year in 2014 at Palestine-Wheatley, is now principal at Baseline Academy in the Little Rock School District and getting rave reviews. I saw him on film and heard him talk at a screening of the Netflix documentary "Teach Us All" on school desegregation and the value of school choice programs. He's inspirational. I was so impressed by his talk about his work that I wrote a check to his school fund (and had no idea he planned a political race.)

From his intro:

Jonathan Crossley is a husband, first generation college graduate, elementary school principal, and advocate for the investment in the Natural State’s most important natural resource: our people. As a third generation cotton mill worker, Jonathan is no stranger to hard work. His earliest memories are of his father, with lint in his hair and sweat on his brow, reinforcing the importance of strong character and personal leadership.

His Republican opponent made news for pushing concealed weapons in the Capitol and raising an alarm about Sharia law.
