Introducing The Huddle with Chris Kingsby

Posted By and on Fri, Jan 26, 2018 at 1:15 PM

The Huddle is an in-depth interview series hosted by local political activist Chris Kingsby. Each episode will delve into policies affecting Arkansans and provide some action to be taken to resist or promote those policies.

In 2013, the state legislature passed a bill that required voters to show photo identification before casting a ballot. A year later the state Supreme Court struck down the law. But last year, the legislature again passed a bill that required voter ID and referred a proposed amendment that would enshrine voter ID into the state Constitution. Voters will consider that amendment in November.

Join me for the first episode of The Huddle as we talk with state Rep. Vivian Flowers (D-Pine Bluff) and Public Policy Panel Board Member, Barry Haas, and discuss the voter ID law and the proposed constitutional amendment.
