A bipartisan immigration bill with protection for the “Dreamers’ failed in the Senate today, 54-45, with 60 needed to overcome a filibuster.

Donald Trump lobbied furiously against the bill. He wants nothing less than everything — a wall and the most punitive immigration rules possible. He knows that Democrats can’t go along, so he’ll blame them.

Sad day, but not for Tom Cotton, who’s as anti-immigrant as Donald Trump.

Other immigration votes also failed. Trump’s own plan got the fewest votes, 39-60, despite the advantage of being the last vote of the day.

Meanwhile, Tom Cotton went on the attack against Lindsey Graham for criticizing Trump’s extremist staffer Stephen Miller. Snowflakes. Sen. John Boozman opposed all the bipartisan immigration deals.
