Donald Trump on NFL players’ who demonstrate against racism by kneeling during National Anthem (emphasis supplied):
“You have to stand proudly for the National Anthem or you shouldn’t be playing,” he told Fox News’ Brian Kilmeade in an interview broadcast Thursday morning. “You shouldn’t be there. Maybe you shouldn’t be in the country. You have to stand proudly for the National Anthem. And the NFL owners did the right thing if that’s what they have done.”
Conform with a dishonest, disrespectful bully’s idea of respect for America or leave the country? You tell me who exemplifies the American ideal more — Colin Kaepernick or Trump? A lecture on respect by Trump inevitably calls to mind so many images of his own lack of same.
