Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense in America is scheduled on the agenda of the Joint Performance Review Committee of the legislature at 1 p.m. today.

The group wasn't allowed to speak the last time the committee met to hear from a discredited gun advocate. Remember: When Sen. Trent Garner should that he didn't care the Moms weren't allowed to speak because they weren't "my people." Indeed.

On the agenda: The Moms Demand presentation against arming teachers.

Testimony today also includes a "red flag law" proposal. This would allow for an order restricting access to a firearm for someone deemed a risk to himself or others. Sen. Will Bond is also going to discuss a proposal to limit the purchase of an assault weapon to those 21 or older. Definitely not Trent Garner's people.

A note; Wouldn't it be great if this event were broadcast on the Internet? For now, Senate rules prohibit it.
