PAC chairwoman behind racist ad in support of French Hill lands Minority Affairs job

Posted By on Fri, Dec 7, 2018 at 8:34 AM

The chairwoman of the PAC that ran the racist ad in October in support of U.S. Rep. French Hill that included the voices of two black women discussing the likelihood of white Democrats "lynching" black men as part of the MeToo movement was appointed to head the West Virginia Office of Minority Affairs this week, Talking Points Memo reports.

Jill Upson, the chair of the PAC Black Americans for the President's Agenda, was tapped by West Virginia Republican Gov. Jim Justice to head the state's Herbert Henderson Office of Minority Affairs.

Upson denounced the ad after it got attention saying she had nothing to do with it and wanted it to be removed, but her position seemed to have no effect on the ads being played.

Hill also denounced the ads.
