Seen this? It's a highlighted view from an interactive map by The Trace of 150,000 shootings — fatal and nonfatal — in the U.S. the last five years.

The Trace says correctly that no place is immune. But some places are more violent than others. Search for both Arkansas and Little Rock and you'll see what I mean. Shootings are clustered in the Little Rock metro area (and Pine Bluff) in Arkansas. And in Little Rock they are clustered in the inner city, south of Interstate 630 from University Avenue eastward.

The map provides details for each specific shooting.

A followup article notes some of the anomalies.
