Columbia Journalism Review has an extensive article about allegations of sexual discrimination and harassment at Sheldon Adelson's Las Vegas Review-Journal newspaper, a story that has distant connections to Arkansas

Key figures in the account include Craig Moon, who left the Las Vegas newspaper as publisher last year, and his friend, Keith Moyer, who'd been editor and who succeeded Moon as publisher. Moon was one of the last publishers of the Arkansas Gazette in its final five years of Gannett ownership.  Moyer was the newspaper's last editor when it was closed in a sale in October 1991 to Walter Hussman of the Arkansas Democrat.

Lots to read if you have time. Here's the CJR summary of events described, not including details of allegations of sexually loaded comments about and treatment of female employees at the newspaper.

Between April 2017 and February 2018, the Review-Journal was the subject of at least three harassment and discrimination filings with the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission; one with the Nevada Equal Rights Commission; at least two payouts involving nondisclosure agreements, including [former female employee] Frisbee’s; allegations of a hostile work environment (in an unemployment benefits filing) through the Nevada Department of Employment, Training and Rehabilitation; and internal complaints to the paper’s human resources department by Frisbee and other staff members who claimed that the office atmosphere was hostile and abusive.
Newspaper officials had limited comments, but generally denied the allegations and blamed them on disgruntled employees.
