A Little Rock police officer shot and killed a driver after a vehicle check this morning at Rodney Parham and 12th Street, according to a report on KTHV.

KTHV is reporting that the vehicle was stopped about 11 a.m. because a check indicated it was stolen. By this account, the vehicle began driving away and hit the officer. The officer began shooting and killed the driver, KTHV said. No officer was shot, but one is reportedly being treated for injuries.

Police have confirmed there’s been a shooting by an officer but as yet haven’t provided more details.
