The University of Arkansas Special Collections will launch its premiere issue of Arkansauce: The Journal of Arkansas Foodways in January. The journal will explore the history, customs and traditions involving food in our state. It’s being underwritten by John G. and Dora J. “DeDe” Ragsdale. The journal will be a blend of semi-scholarly and popular works concerning everythiing from nutrition to cooking to chefs to table manners. Rex Nelson is the guest editor for the inaugural issue. He shares a sneak peak for what’ll be inside those covers the first time around over on his Southern Fried Blog.
