In 2014, we launched Arkansas Food & Farm, a publication dedicated to specialty crop farmers, farmers markets and the good people who support Arkansas agriculture. The magazine has been a joy to work on, and feedback has been phenomenal.

Now we’re taking that concept a step further with a new publication: Arkansas Made. With this publication, we’re taking the concept of Food & Farm to another vital area: Arkansas artisans. We admire and respect the people who create things. And we want to give them their due.

With that in mind, we’d like to reach out to everyone who creates products in Arkansas. If you go to the new Arkansas Made website, you’ll see a submission form for Arkansas artisans where producers can sign up, tell everyone about themselves and upload pictures of what they make. This digital space will is the foundation of the new publication, and will feature interviews, profiles of artisans — and it will let everyone know exactly where to go to find great Arkansas made products.

Sign up is free. Our first magazine will come out in August, and I can’t wait for you all to see the cream of the crop in Arkansas products. Tell your friends that make great products, and if you are an artist, photographer, quilt-maker, jeweler — basically if you make something here in Arkansas, we want to promote you. I’m so proud of the people who make our state unique, and I’m proud to tell the world about it.
