UALR is hosting an artist's reception from 5-7 p.m tonight for Taimur Cleary, whose painting exhibit "Surface Space (Sundial Face)" opened last week in Gallery II of the Fine Arts Center.

Cleary has been artist-in-residence at UALR since September 2011 and has exhibited national and internationally. He also taught at The Columbus College of Art and Design in Ohio. He holds a BA in art from Miami University in Ohio and an MFA from Pratt Institute in New York. The work in the exhibition concerns perceptions of landscape, the quality of light and more. You can see more examples of his work at his website.
