The Search is Over

Posted By on Wed, Dec 5, 2007 at 11:03 PM

Or, so it appears; with Arkansas coaching searches, I guess you can never be too sure. But assuming this report (courtesy of Max Brantley's Arkansas blog) is legit, the new Razorback football coach is ... (drumroll please) .. Wake Forest's Jim Grobe. Friend of the blog Jim Clark of Little Rock also tells me that Clay Henry is reporting the same thing on a Hawgs Illustrated message board available only to subscribers of the magazine (I'm not a subscriber).

Quick update: The Morning News also says that Grobe is the one. As for the early returns, The Hog Blogger likes the pick.

Discuss amongst yourselves. We'll be back soon with more deathless prose on the matter.

  • Where in the World is Charles Balentine?

Charles Balentine remains well-known among Razorback fans for hitting the 3rd biggest shot in Arkansas history (we'll give you two guesses as to what #1 and #2 are), but many other details of his storied career are slipping away into the mists of time.
