NW restaurant closes

Brioso Brazil in Bentonville has closed. News release says:

Restaurant Management Group, LLC has closed Brioso Brazil in Bentonville as of June 11, 2007.

Dave Godwin, Managing Partner of the company, said, “Although the restaurant was enthusiastically welcomed to the Northwest Arkansas market and has continued to be a favorite upscale dining choice for many in the area, the company has decided not to renew its lease at the current location and close the restaurant.”

The restaurant came to the market in the summer of 2001. The company might consider reopening in another location or market should the right opportunity present itself, Godwin said.

The company’s main focus will be expanding its MarketPlace Catering division as well as continuing the growth and development of the MarketPlace Grill and Express concepts. As part of this effort, the company will open the newest Express concept this summer in Fayetteville adjacent to Malco’s new theater complex at the corner of Joyce and Steele Boulevard.
