MarketPlace coming to LR

From a news release (on jump), it appears a MarketPlace Grill is in the works for the Leonard Boen-developed shopping center going up at I-430 and Col. Glenn. Seems like there's a line out the door every time we try the store in Conway.

NEWS RELEASE

FAYETTEVILLE, AR — Restaurant Management Group, LLC and MarketPlace Concepts, LLC the management and operational companies of MarketPlace Grill and MarketPlace Express, announced that they have reached an agreement with Boen Enterprises LLC of Little Rock to be the developer of choice as they continue expanding their restaurants in Arkansas and surrounding states.

Dave Godwin, Managing Partner, said, “We are absolutely thrilled at our new partnership with Leonard Boen and his development company. Mr. Boen brings proven leadership and expertise in the commercial real estate development business, as well as the vision needed to help us succeed in the growth of both of our concepts.”

The companies will next begin construction of its newest prototype of MarketPlace Express in Fayetteville, adjacent to the Malco Theatre currently under construction at the corner of Joyce and Steele Boulevards. The restaurant should be open toward the end of 2007 and will be the seventh for the regional restaurant chain.

Following the completion of construction in Fayetteville, the companies are looking to bring a MarketPlace concept to Little Rock at the I-430 and Colonel Glenn Road interchange.
