Feeling like some fried catfish, my favorite food group, I decided to head on over to Peter’s Fish Market at 4505 West 12th Street.   Three very large (see below) and meaty fish fillets, cole slaw, hush puppies, french fries, and a slice of bread was $7.50.  A two piece runs $5.99, but hey, I was all in baby.

The fries, slaw, and hush puppies were certainly quite good, but the real star here was the perfectly breaded and seasoned fish.  You make your order, pay, get a ticket number, and begin your wait.  Only then do they drop your fillets in the frier.  There is nothing like piping hot, fresh cooked catfish.  Other items on the friedoliscious menu include shrimp, talapia, perch, and buffalo.  You can also buy the fish fresh and take it home to cook yourself.  A couple of tables to sit and eat, but its mostly a take-out place.   You can call your order in ahead: 666-3456
