In two Fridays from now, Smoke Up Johnny will celebrate the release of their debut record on Thick Syrup Records with a concert at White Water.

It's going to be stupid fun. So: mark your calendars, call your friends, get a babysitter.

In the meantime, you can preview two new tracks on the band's myspace and another one on the Thick Syrup page.

Best lyric among the new tracks: "You know it's been such a long time since I heard that Chuck Berry record on 45/ It fuckin blew my 4 year-old mind!"

Look out for a long story on the band in two weeks in the paper with a bonus multimedia treat.
