Mermaid Police.
Nashville singer/songwriter Buzz Cason has written songs for Jan & Dean, Gloria Estefan, the Oak Ridge Boys, Martina McBride and dozens more. I have heard of none of them. He comes to Sticky Fingerz doing grizzled, swampy-country rock, 8:30 p.m., $4.

G-force
, the local DJ of the year, 2005-2007 (he's an early favorite for 2008), works the 1s and 2s at Deep, 9:30 p.m.

Indie-folk singer/songwriter Adam Faucett, who used to live in Little Rock and play under the name Taught the Rabbits but now lives in Chicago and plays as Adam Faucett, headlines at White Water, with Joe Crocker, who also does acoustic folk, and Friends with Gentle Hearts.

Layne Staley is a pretty obvious touchstone for Land of Mines at Juanita's. Don't know time or price.

HFU! presents synth-poppers Mermaid Police and Height at Vino's, 8 p.m., $5.

Yikes! The Easter bunny is at Park Plaza starting today, 10 a.m.-8 p.m.
