For whatever reason, we’ve been on a real cheeseburger tear lately, and even at such a sophisticated place as So Restaurant-Bar, we couldn’t be tempted away by any of the more creative menu offerings. So’s version is two mini-cheeseburgers, pretty little things stacked high and served with a fancy container of shoestring fries. We liked the fries, but the cheeseburgers left us wishing we’d put our $9 toward something else. They weren’t bad, but better ones are easy to find for half the price, and So’s menu has many other choices where that’s not the case. We’ll go for one of them next time. 3610 Kavanaugh Blvd. Full bar. CC $$-$$$ 663-1464 LD daily.
