Hogs Fall After Their Own Improbable Run

Posted By on Sun, Mar 16, 2008 at 4:38 PM

They never once held the lead, though at times they were close enough to break your heart.  Ultimately, the same stat that won the game for them yesterday lost it for them today.  The Bulldogs scooped up the boards that mattered, then hauled in some key offensive rebounds in the final minutes.  We were simply outplayed, both in the front court and beyond the arc.

Maybe we can bounce back in the tourney, but my hopes for the team were pinned on the SEC championship.  And for these seniors, there's no such thing as next year.

  • There's always next year

I haven't even spoken to my friends. I ignored all the teary empty nonsense of postgame coverage. I didn't sign into Twitter for a week. Anyway, the game was on a loop in my head.

  • Where I stand on The Agreement

Nobody has any reason to be the least bit disappointed with the job Bobby Petrino has done with the Arkansas Razorbacks. Still, I have my reservations about the document that shall henceforth be known as The Agreement.
