"War Eagle, Arkansas" kicks of the LRFF

Posted By on Tue, Apr 15, 2008 at 4:24 PM

The NWA filmed “War Eagle, Arkansas” kicks off the Little Rock Film Festival on Thursday, May 15. Conway's Graham Gordy, who co-wrote "The Love Guru" with Mike Myers, wrote the screenplay based on producer/writer Vincent Insalaco's story of the real-life relationship between his son, an athlete struggling with a speech impediment, and his best friend, a boy suffering from cerebral palsy. Brian Dennehy, Luke Grimes, Mary Kay Place and Mare Winningham star. Lynsee Provence, most recently seen in "Shotgun Stories" plays somebody named Nardler and represents the LR hat (the best hat there is) in the trailer. Your state film commissioner, Christopher Crane, even has a role.

Look, the Great Campus Rape Crisis was mainly hype all along. What Vice President Joe Biden described as an epidemic of sexual violence sweeping American college campuses in 2011 was vastly overstated.
