Chains a-coming

Posted By on Wed, Jul 2, 2008 at 1:41 PM

Look for two new-to-town chain restaurants set to open later this summer at the Promenade at Chenal shopping center.

Yia Yia’s Euro Bistro
promises sophistication and whimsy in their press release, with a menu that features a combination of American, French, Italian and Greek cuisine (yia yia is Greek for “grandmother”). Several entree salads top out at $12, pizza and pasta are in the $10-$15 range. Entrees go up to $30 and include Chilean sea bass, rosemary lamb chops, roasted duck and rainbow trout.

From the creators of McAlister’s Deli comes Newk’s Express Cafe, a “fast-casual” restaurant that will feature California-style pizzas, salads, oven-baked sandwiches, soups and homemade cakes.

Both restaurants are scheduled to open in August. The Promenade is located on Chenal Parkway at Rahling Road. For updates, check the web site, www.chenalshopping.com.
