Vino's is all growed up

Posted By on Wed, Sep 3, 2008 at 2:12 PM

Wasn't it just yesterday that all the folks who border the flyer above played sweaty shows at Vino's? (Not for me. I'm a late-comer, the Gossip is the only of the above that I've seen). Well, it wasn't. Everyone's favorite ramshackle pizza joint cum hang-out cum teenage refuge is about to be 18. It's celebrating with a concert featuring a host of local oddballs. Like wild and wooly garage punks King Don, new wave champs the Reds, post-punks Loch Ness Monster, one-man roots band Gino Delray and indie-rockers Underclaire. There'll be food and beer specials, and there’s been some talk of reverting to 18-year-old prices, so cross your fingers for that.
