Monday: ACAC opens new space, jazz at the Afterthought

Posted By on Mon, Dec 15, 2008 at 3:50 PM

On your way to fight the throngs at the grocery store, why not stop and see a show? The ACAC celebrates its new space on 900 S. Rodney Parham (across from Kanis Park) with punk rock: Holy Shit (the one from Milwaukee, not LA, sadly) The Thing That Always Explodes, Kill TV (from Cabot) and, for the first time in a long time, the Chicklettes, who have the best description ever on this flyer—feminist girl punk w/ guns. Alright! It's all ages, 9 p.m., $5.

At the Afterthought, Tony Nardi handles piano and vocals, Joe Vick plays bass and Dave Rogers keeps the beat on drums, 8 p.m., $5.
