Jack Oblivian.

Three of Memphis garage rock's finest share the bill at White Water tonight: Jack Oblivian and the Tearjerkers, Harlan T. Bobo and King Louie and the Diamond Kings. This should be seriously good, 9:30 p.m., $6. All these folks, or at least Oblivian and Harlan T., are going to be on Craig Brewer's MTV thing.

The fine, fine new play at the Rep, "Looking Over the President's Shoulder," picks back up, 7 p.m., $20-$35.

At Satellite, Showcase judge and lead Boondog Jason Weinheimer steps out for a solo set, 8:30 p.m., free.

Popular alt-country singer/songwriter Chris Knight comes to Sticky Fingerz.

Juanita's hosts local rockers An Orangutan share a bill with indie rockers Whale Fire, who'll you'll get to hear at tomorrow's Showcase.

As usual, the Ted Ludwig Jazz Trio is at the Capital Bar, 5:30 p.m., and g-force VJs at Deep, 10 p.m., $5.
