Thursday: Chris Denny, the Weisenheimers, Parachute Woman and more

Satellite Cafe, now open for cocktails and appetizers at night, hosts local folk rock hero Chris Denny, 9 p.m., free.

At On the Rocks, the Weisenheimers play a winning brand of pop-punk, 10 p.m., $5.

The Ted Ludwig Jazz Trio, as it typically does, starts the night at the Capital Bar, 5 p.m., free, before making its way to the Afterthought, 8:30 p.m., $5.

Another weekly custom features karaoke supported by local rockers Third Degree, 9 p.m., $5.

The ACAC hosts a screening of “Blazing Saddles” with musical intermissions by Parachute Woman and the Delicious at its new space on S. Rodney Parham, 8 p.m., $3 or free with a potluck dish.

The party band Mr. Happy returns to Cajun's, 9 p.m., $5.
