Rockst*r

Started performing: 2004

From: Little Rock

Albums: A number of mixtapes and digi-singles (one featured production from David Banner). Most recently, the rapper dropped "Rockst*r for President," which you can download for free on his MySpace page.

Sounds like: Swagger rap with hooks to sing-along-to.

Good genes: The MC/producer is a direct descendant of Alex Haley ("Roots").

Where you'll find him: All over. He recently returned from a promo tour that made stops in Atlanta and NYC.

Video: "Rockst*r for President" live at Cornerstone.

Music:

"Homecoming (Listen to My Drumline)"

"1 a.m."
