Judsonia's Beth Ditto, lead singer of the Gossip, posed nude again for a magazine cover. This time for the debut issue of Love, a new British style magazine from Conde Naste that hits newsstands today.

Barnes and Noble doesn't have it. Reps at both stores couldn't tell me whether they plan to carry it.

There's tons of articles in British papers about the cover. Most, like this one in Daily Mail, lead with "15-stone Beth Ditto" (that's 210 lbs). The Daily Mail article ends with a quote from celebrity pencil Keira Knightley gushing about Ditto's "amazing body."

‘When she was performing she started taking all her clothes off,’ Miss Knightley said.

‘I stood there watching her strip, thinking, “Oh my God, that woman is so sexy. She has the most amazing body”.’

The Gossip's either currently in the studio or just finished recording the follow-up to "Standing in the Way of Control." Rick Rubin and James Ford (Simian Mobile Disco) are producing. It looks like the album could come out as soon as this spring.

Her dance abilities had clearly diminished, as they naturally would over two decades. I mean, she's 50. And has a newborn. I get it, but it's like they're grasping at recreating 20 year-old Janet instead of focusing on what makes 50 year-old Janet amazing, and I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t terribly disappointed.
