Thursday: Nova, Notion, Bluesboy Jag, Kevin Kerby and more

At Revolution, Sony Records' Nova blends prog-rock and post-grunge, with supporting help from local alt-rockers Wishtribe, 8 p.m., $5-$10.

Hard-to-classify local rockers Notion come to the Underground Pub, 8 p.m., $5.

Cigar-box-guitar maker and one-man band Bluesboy Jag performs, for free, at Satellite, 9 p.m.

At Cajun's, local cover band Almost Infamous plays songs you know, during happy hour, from 5:30 until 8:30 p.m., and Jet 420 comes with a similar offering in the headling spot, 8:30 p.m., $5.

From Conway, Cyprus Creek plays an alt-version of Southern rock at Juanita's, with the Allen Hunt Band, 9 p.m., $7.

Shop-n-Sip, Hillcrest's monthly free-drink-a-thon, returns, 5 p.m. Kevin Kerby is at the Station.
