Quentin Tarantino to make "American Idol" infinitely more watchable tonight

Man. From this week's Entertainment Weekly.

It's "songs from the movies" night on "American Idol" tonight, 8 p.m. (now just an hour!), which means that pretty much every popular song ever made is on the table.

Quentin Tarantino, who's winningly served as a guest judge in the past, especially if you enjoy no no-nonsense, cutting feedback, this time serves as the mentor. Presumably, he'll be less nice than Randy Travis.

Idolator dreams of a world
where all the contestants are forced not just to sing songs from the movies, but songs from Tarantino's movies. Ricky Nelson's "Lonesome Town" is the blog's pick for Kris Allen. It would actually really make sense.
