Thursday: 'This American Life,' Tony Furtado, Silver Swirly and more

As it did last year, a special edition of Ira Glass' “This American Life” screens live at Breckenridge Village, 7 p.m., $20.

Expert banjoist and slide guitarist Tony Furtado delves into a wide range of genres at Sticky Fingerz, 10 p.m., $7 7 p.m., $10.

At Satellite, local rocker Jim Hunnicutt revives his Silver Swirly project, 9 p.m., free.

For one night only, the Little Rock Wind Symphony goes “Around the World in 90 Minutes,” playing selections from Australian, Czech, German, French and American composers at the Second Presbyterian Church, 7:30 p.m., $5-$10.

Jazzy singer/songwriter Tiffany Christopher shares a bill at White Water with indie-folk-rocker E.S. Yancey, 9 p.m., $5.

The Travs bring a home stand that lasts through Sunday against their in-state rival, the Naturals, at Dickey-Stephens, 7:10 p.m., $6-$10.
