Like wine? If you haven’t experienced the Dionysian splendor of the Festival of Wines, you need to wipe your calendar free for October 1st. The evening of wine and food under the stars at Dickey-Stephens Ballpark pairs cuisine from dozens of area restaurants with more than 600 different wines to sample. There’s also a splendid silent auction with all sorts of great items such as art and rare wines. This year’s event will cover the entire concourse at the park. It’s sponsored by the Jack Stephens Heart Center at St. Vincent Health. The event is October 1st from 6 to 9 p.m.; tickets are $60. Secure your designated driver now. For tickets, call (501) 379-1198. For more information, check out the website.
