Daily Digest: Heath Ledger's last movie, John Hughes doc and the Clean

Posted By on Mon, Aug 10, 2009 at 2:48 PM

Here is the whacked-out trailer for the much-embattled and difficult to say "The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus." It's, famously, Heath Ledger's last film. When he died, mid-production, Jude Law, Johnny Depp and Colin Farrell teamed to replace him. This is the UK trailer. The film still lacks U.S. distribution. I can't imagine why.

Spotify is going to change your life, computer-using music nerds.

The new trailer for "Don't You Forget About Me," the documentary about John Hughes' legacy and late-in-life reclusiveness, doesn't reveal whether the filmmakers talk to Hughes. But they do find a bunch of familiar faces from his films, who pretty much uniformly look puffy and weird.

Merge is streaming the new album from the greatest band to ever come out of New Zealand, the Clean. It's called "Mr. Pop," and it'll be available for purchase on Sept. 8.
