The acclaimed Janaki String Trio, from Los Angeles, comes to St. Mark’s Episcopal Church courtesy of the Chamber Music Society, 7:30 p.m., $10-$20.

Local promoter Chris Bowen has moved his popular Thirsty Thursdays party from Juanita’s to On the Rocks. The particulars stay the same — DJ King Akeem and Deja Blue still man the ones and twos and it still starts at 8 p.m. with early admission $5 for ladies and $10 for guys — but Bowen says the party’s bigger than ever.

It’s a double-bill of up-and-coming Oklahoma rockers with Colourmusic and the Uglysuit at Sticky Fingerz, 9 p.m., $5.

Local cover band Mr. Lucky is at Cajun’s Wharf, 9 p.m., $5.

Vocalist and saxophonist Tonya Leeks returns to the Afterthought’s jazz night, 8 p.m., $5.
