I've already mentioned my fondness for this tome; what more can I add?  More on the jump.

LITTLE ROCK (December 3, 2009) – The Junior League of Little Rock is proud to announce that its newest cookbook, Big Taste of Little Rock, has been named Best Fundraising Cookbook in the United States by Gourmand World Cookbook Awards.
The Junior League of Little Rock will receive the official award at the Paris Cookbook Fair on February 11, 2010 and will be eligible to win an award for Best Fundraising Cookbook in the World.
Just in time for the announcement of the award, the League also announced that it will sell all four titles of its cookbooks, including Big Taste of Little Rock, this Saturday, December 5, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. in the home store section of Dillard’s Park Plaza .  League members will have food samples available for shoppers to sample some of the recipes found in Junior League of Little Rock cookbooks.
More than 100 countries from across the world participate in the Gourmand World Cookbook Awards founded by Edouard Cointreau, a known food and beverage aficionado born into the families of Cointreau liqueur on his paternal side, and Cognacs Frapin and Remy Martin on his maternal side.  Cointreau founded the Gourmand World Cookbook Awards in 1995 to help readers find the best out of the 26,000 food and wine books produced every year.
Stephanie Bynum, Chair of the Junior League of Little Rock Cookbook Committee, was thrilled to hear the announcement.
“Junior League of Little Rock Cookbooks have a strong reputation for excellence and it is an honor to be recognized by an international authority on cooking,” said Bynum.
Big Taste of Little Rock was published in 2008 and released to the public in January of this year.  It is the fourth cookbook in the Junior League of Little Rock collection.  Previous cookbooks include Little Rock Cooks, Traditions, and Apron Strings.  All proceeds from the sale of cookbooks for the Junior League of Little Rock help fund community projects of the junior league that benefit women, children, and seniors in central Arkansas .
The Junior League of Little Rock was founded in 1929 and is an organization of women committed to promoting voluntarism, developing the potential of women, and to improving the community through the effective action and leadership of trained volunteers. Its purpose is exclusively educational and charitable.
