Daily Digest: Conan might get iced, pants might fall to the ground

*If you've gotten caught-up in the late night war, Nikki Finke's Deadline Hollywood is essential reading. She's got NBC head Jeff Zucker saying he's going to "ice" Conan and enforce a non-compete clause in his contract that would keep him off a rival network for 3 1/2 years.

*And now TMZ says that Leno and NBC have reached an agreement for him to retake "The Tonight Show."

*More TV news: MTV is trying its hand at scripted shows again. The juggernaut? "The Hard Times of RJ Berger," a comedy MTV's billing as a cross between "The Wonder Years" and "Superbad," about a nerdy teenage boy who—I'm going to let the  LA Times step in— "achieves notoriety among his high school peers when they discover that he has a rather large penis." They're also Americanizing UK hit "Skins." Gotta find a successor to "Undressed." [LA Times]

*Prediction: "Pants on the Ground" is the highlight of "Idol" this year.
