The icy weather caused a lot of cancellations and some postponements -- but that could be to your benefit. Your Monday night could take a tasty turn if you choose to join Troy Black out at PTC's Campus Center (on the main campus in North Little Rock) tonight from 6-9 p.m. The champion grill god will be hosting Barbecue 101 for a nominal fee tonight; those tickets to the originally scheduled Saturday "performance" are still good. Release on the jump.

The release:

Due to inclement weather, "Barbeque 101" class scheduled for Saturday, January 30 has been rescheduled.
The Pulaski Technical College Arkansas Culinary School will host ”Barbecue 101,"  a cooking class featuring champion barbeque chef Troy Black, on Monday, Feb. 1 in the PTC Campus Center on the main campus.

The class runs from 6 -9 p.m. The cost of the one-day class is $60. Tickets purchased for the original date will be honored for the rescheduled date.
Chef Black competes full-time on the professional barbecue circuit and has been featured on The Food Network and the Travel Channel. His presentation will include recipes and tips for meat selection, low and slow cooking, using wood for flavorings, cooking techniques and creating sauces and dry rubs.

Register for the class online.
