The best blues act you'll see all year is at White Water tonight. Like always, it'll be a party that extends well into the wee hours, 9 p.m.

Bonnie Montgomery — my pick to become the singer/songwriter everyone's talking about in six months — is at Town Pump tonight doing songs with her friend and fellow singer/songwriter Mandy McBryde, 9 p.m., $3.

At Afterthought, the Dr. Rex Bell Trio performs, 9 p.m.

And at Rev, rising local rockers Kingsdown share a bill with Both/And and Thrill of a Dog Fight, 8 p.m., $5. There'll be drink specials until 10 p.m. and girls get in free all night. The show's open to 18 and older, but if you're 18 to 20, you gotta pay $2 extra.
