Burgers gone by

Not far from our state's southern border lies a little town called Transylvania, LA.  Over the years people have stopped to photograph its bat-clad water tower, pick up a postcard and have lunch at the Transylvania General Store -- home of the Double Dare Outrageous Burger.

The burger's off the menu, but you can still pick up the house hamburger or cheeseburger for lunch on your way here or there.  Thing is, the little gas station and tourist stop is struggling, and its current owner's looking to sell.  Perhaps it's the end of the Transylvania Burger... and when and if that comes, the only burger (and a good place for a restroom break) between Tallulah and Lake Providence will be gone.  The story over at Tie Dye Travels.
