Half Off

Posted By on Thu, Apr 8, 2010 at 2:47 PM

I'm sure all y'all love the Times so much that you've clicked through every ad on our website, but in case you haven't, let me point you to the Half Off Depot.

It's a gift certificate website, where local restaurants like Capi's and Trio's and Cheeburger Cheeburger and Juanita's offer gift certificates worth twice what they're selling them for. For instance, for $25 you can get a gift certificate for Capi's worth $50.

Most of the gift certificates Half Off sells come in the mail. So you pay up front, then a week later you get your gift certificate, but Capi's and Trio's both can be printed immediately.

Be warned, there are often drink exceptions, but still, it's a stupid good deal.

  • Janet Jackson at Verizon Arena: A Review

Her dance abilities had clearly diminished, as they naturally would over two decades. I mean, she's 50. And has a newborn. I get it, but it's like they're grasping at recreating 20 year-old Janet instead of focusing on what makes 50 year-old Janet amazing, and I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t terribly disappointed.
