Fayetteville has the chance to catch Ryan Bingham (above, hilariously), the young country singer-songwriter and recent Oscar winner for Best Original Song, thanks to his track "The Weary Kind" in "Crazy Heart." He's playing George's Majestic Lounge, 9 p.m., $15.

People in Little Rock jonesing for jazz are in luck tonight: the Afterthought hosts their weekly Tuesday night jazz session with pianist Carl Mouton, 8 p.m., while Capitol Keyboards on Chenal brings the youngsters in the Tuesday Jazz Project together for a end-of-term concert, 7 p.m. Both events are free.

Local Mat Mahar takes to Union for an intimate set, 10 p.m., free.

Kings of Little Rock, The See, play a last-minute gig at the smoke-free White Water Tavern and Luxury Beer Garden with two super-duper secret mystery bands debuting as openers, 9:30 p.m
