After a more than three-week long shoot in Ohio, Jeff Nichols has finished filming his follow-up to "Shotgun Stories."

It's called "Shelter."

Mike Shannon, who stars in "Shotgun Stories," appears in every scene, Nichols said today. He plays a normal working class man with a family who begins to dream about apocalyptic storms and, in reaction, renovates a tornado shelter in his back yard.

I'm pretty sure a lot more happens, but that's all I could get out of him today, though he did call it a "psychological thriller" and "a meditation on marriage."

Jessica Chastain, who stars in the forthcoming Terrence Malick film "Tree of Life," plays Shannon's character's wife.

Nichols said he's hoping for a 2011 festival debut.
