Musician and self-taught artist Collin Miles is showing work at the ACAC starting tomorrow, when the artists' cooperative will host a reception from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. Little Rock music fans will recognize Miles' name from the bands The Moving Front and Eclipse Glasses.

The work will include symbolic and stylized self-portraits (perhaps that's what the drawing above is), landscapes and iconography, and will be on exhibit through the month.

Go to ACAC's facebook page for more news about what's happening; new leader Chad McGriff says big things on way.

We don't get to post all the jpegs of artwork on exhibit that come into the office, but they have more allure and tell you more about the work than what I can write about them. Hence this slideshow of work from shows opening tonight (Aug. 10) for 2nd Friday Art Night, 5-8 p.m. (see the To Do list for more information), and other openings and shows this weekend and in the days ahead.
