Art party tonight

Among the many programs LifeQuest of Arkansas offers retired folk is an oil painting class. Tonight, Cantrell Gallery gives those artists a venue as it opens "Canvas and Color."

In the exhibit: Sam Caruthers, Jennifer Coleman, Jim Conard, Anne Crow, Sharon Franke, Barbara Howes, Susie Henley, Nell Johnson, Marty Kauer, Herb Monsonan, Nancy Irving Smith, Mary Lou Ward and Suzanne Warren.

The reception is from 6-8 p.m. at the gallery, 8206 Cantrell Road. The exhibit will stay up 'til Sept. 4.
