Paste Magazine is dead

According to Gawker.

Frankly, I can't believe it lasted this long.

Surely, SPIN is not long for the world either.

Rolling Stone, thanks to the juice of the McChrystal story and a tony name, will probably putz along for a few more years.

But how do any of these monthly, bi-weekly or even weekly aggregators of pop-culture with no discernible editorial voice survive in a world of so many online outlets covering the same stuff, but on an hourly basis?
