It's HAM's turn to get a mention for its 2nd Friday event tonight. U of A architecture assistant professor Laura Terry is showing her paintings and drawings in a new exhibit that runs through Dec. 5.

In an essay on her website studio LMT, Terry writes that her architecture professor, Samuel Mockbee, suggested she give up architecture for painting. "For quite some time," she writes, "I did not see the value of being an artist compared to that of being an architect" and she still struggles with being identified as a painter. But painter she is; check out her "Southern Landscapes" tonight.
