Hey, pumpkin

Locavore chef Ashley Christensen pairs up with P. Allen Smith later this month to celebrate local foods, autumn and pumpkin time out at Moss Mountain Farm. It's an interesting event that will include a tour of the grounds at Smith's Garden Home Retreat, live music, a reception and a five-star dinner with wine pairings. This Tale of Two Farms event's sponsored by the Oxford American and the Heritage Poultry Conservancy.

Now, I suspect it will be a lot like the last Tale of Two Farms event back this summer (minus the 100 degree heat). That's a pretty awesome experience in itself. I'm also goobing over the idea of pumpkin being the star of the show, because like many of you pumpkin is the flavor of fall for me. Add in perfect October weather and some nicely coordinated wines, it could be that one special evening you've been dreaming of.

The event is Saturday the 16th, and tickets are on sale now. They're $200 a person or $300 a couple. Check out the website for more information.
