"Looking For Lurch," the Arkansas Times Audience Award-winning documentary during the 2010 Little Rock Film Festival, is up for the "Festival Genius Audience Award" at the Gotham Independent Film Awards.

The "Festival Genius," which will subsequently be known on this blog as the Gene, is in its first year, serving to “celebrate audience award winners from across the Top 50 US and Canadian film festivals.”

Little Rock Film Festival's most recent lineup is in full force, with "Waiting for Superman," "Louder Than a Bomb," "happythankyoumoreplease" and "Winter's Bone" in shortlist as well.

The whole shebang is chosen by internet votes, so click away here and show NYC a dose of Arkansas pride.
