Wednesday: School Boy Humor, Jeff Kinney, Nuclear Power Pants

They're all grown up, but hometown teen heroes School Boy Humor take to The Village Revolution tonight with The Supporting Cast and Boxwine, 8 p.m., $8.

Canadian alt-rockers Evans Blue play Juanita's tonight alongside Rains, 8:30 p.m., $8.

Jeff Kinney, the author of the hit kid-lit series "Diary of a Wimpy Kid" and one of Time Magazine's "Most Influential People in the World," will be at the Wally Allen Ballroom of the Statehouse Convention Center, 6 p.m. Free tickets are available at the West Little Rock Barnes & Noble.

Peppy, electro spazzpop act Nuclear Power Pants and Hot Springs' avant-rock duo Cold Mold will be in ACAC's new space, 9 p.m., $5.

Show canceled on account of a veggie bus 'splosion.

White Water Tavern turns into an International House of Punk when British folk-metal outfit The Holy Ghost Revival team up with old-school punk from Belfast's Monkhouse, 10 p.m.

It's a big night for film in Central Arkansas with the 1976 conspiracy thriller "Los Albaniles" screening for free at the Arkansas Arts Center at 6:30 p.m. as part of UALR's ongoing Mexican Film Festival; filmmakers Michael Pertnoy and Michael Kleiman screening their new documentary "WEB," which follows the One Laptop Per Child program in developing nations, at 6 p.m. in the Clinton School of Public Service; and, of course, the premiere of "Independent for Governor: An Idealist's Grueling Run," the long-in-the-making "Rod for Gov" doc at UCA's Reynolds Performance Hall we wrote about below.
