"Independent for Governor" to screen at Clinton Library

Posted By on Thu, Dec 9, 2010 at 2:31 PM

After its world debut in November, Huixia Lu's long-in-the-making (and long, period, we understand) documentary about Rod Bryan's 2006 grab for the governor's seat is set for its Little Rock premiere on Tuesday, December 21, 1 p.m., at the Clinton Presidential Center.

It's only hilariously appropriate that the film about Rod "I like George Clinton much more than Bill Clinton" Bryan's low-budget, ecstatically anti-establishment campaign is taking to a $165-million architectural ode to big politics.

Lu tells us that this version is a new edit, 15 minutes shorter than the debut.

And if you haven't seen it yet, here's the trailer.
